needed:
I'm Reviving this classic which
apparently went down on the right side as that's where the all
the superficial damage is.
I need the right front brake lever. Right cover is in pretty bad
shape. Need the ignition cover. |

Choke knob and 2" cable. I have the long
cable down to the carbs.

Need new tail light lens.
Also (top center) is there a fastener or plug
to fill the hole?

The round headlight proves it is the 'L' model.
The others have a rectangular light.

Left electrical cover is missing.

Signal Control unit: Outlined in white below
With considerable trouble shooting, wire tracing and swear words I
think I have isolated the turn signal problem down to the above
'Signal control' box. The relay below seems ok since I can feel it
click when I apply power through it. My manual (Clymer Suzuki GS1100
Fours - 1980-1981) shows a different 'Black Box' relay and doesn't say
there is a different one for the 'L' model. So it may be that someone
replace the black box signal relay shown on page194 fig 38 of the
manual with this other one.
Another reason I'm suspicious is that there are three wires going to
the relay socket but only two prongs on the relay. (hard to see on the
pictures below)
Do you have the manual pictured black box signal relay?
 T he
extender for the rear signal is flexible. The extender for the front
is not and breaks if you drop the bike. I just replaced the front with
pretty new ones and dropped it in the drive way. That's how I know. I
want to replace the front two with flexible signals like these on the
rear. DO YOU HAVE ANY OF THESE?
 My
Tach cable is broken. It is 22" long. I NEED ONE OF THESE.

I picked up a tank off of eBay, have cleaned and coated the
inside with a polymer lining. I also painted it the brightest yellow I could
find.

Need the ignition cover.
The baffle in the muffler is loose so I suppose I need a new muffler?
Right front brake lever is damaged. Need
to replace it. (I got the Right turn signal already.)
Right cover is in pretty bad shape but the left one is
missing completely.
An oil cooler has been added which I hope is
responsible for the Oil Light being on.
